About Us

Who Is AGSC?

AGSC is a science club where girls ages 6 to 12 years old learn mathematics, engineering, and sciences. It is a place where we continually stimulate advanced critical thinking and pique their curiosity.

AGSC welcomes all girls regardless of family economic status, ethnicity, or religious background. The girls come together to feed their passion for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. They learn leadership skills, respect for one another, team-building skills, and, most importantly, they form valuable and long-lasting friendships.

Our Founder: Ms. Nikki Amar

I created the Amazing Girls Science Club as an environment where young girls ages 6 to 12 can explore many facets of life through the lenses of science.

Growing up, I loved watching my dad tinker with computers. That curiosity motivated me to pursue a Master’s degree in Systems Engineering because I wanted to learn how everything worked together.

When I moved to Qatar, I saw an opportunity to establish the Amazing Girls Science Club to help young girls, including my daughter, grow up loving sciences, mathematics, and engineering like I do.

I set up AGSC as a non-profit organization to keep the fees low so that parents with different economic means can join. All of the money collected is used to buy materials and to pay for the services required to create our events. Our wonderful volunteers share my vision to empower young girls to pursue STEM education.
